Centro Las Libres offers free comprehensive legal and psychological support to victims of rape and sexual violence and helps them become active agents in their pursuit of justice. Survivors of rape and domestic violence are encouraged to accompany and support other rape and violence victims through legal proceedings and psychological healing processes.

Additional ways that Centro Las Libres supports victims of rape and sexual violence:

• Our staff and volunteers offer training workshops for employees in public health and legal sectors, advocating for the professional, non-discriminatory treatment of rape victims and thereby helping to ensure that these institutions comply with the law.

• We promote education about emergency contraception and promote its use to avoid unwanted pregnancies.

• We distribute a series of guides among public health officials, attorneys, rape victims and their families about the rights of rape victims and the procedures that state officials are required by law to follow.
